Each of our meetings begin with an interesting program on topics that inspire, entertain or motivate.  After the program a general business meeting is held to keep members up-to-date and informed of club information and activities.  Social time and light refreshments are all part of the evening.

In honor of November being National Philanthropy Month, we'll do a deep dive into LJWC's primary philanthropy initiative - Hope Closet, a free community clothing closet currently housed at Christ Community Church. We'll tour the space, make sure all members are familiar with closet expectations, sort donations, and clear out-of-season items from the racks. We need many hands to provide this community service. We'll also discuss the revised by-laws, so bring your comments and questions.

Start at Barrel & Heritage, where you’ll pick up your event materials and map and enjoy a light refreshment. Then stroll through downtown, collect unique charms from participating retailers, and enjoy special offers, discounts, and light refreshments at select businesses along the way.

Wrap up your evening back at Barrel & Heritage to assemble your charm bracelet and try your luck with raffle tickets for a chance to win fabulous prize baskets from our generous sponsoring businesses!

Join the Argo-Summit Bedford Park Women’s Club at their November General Meeting on November 10th at 7pm. We meet at the Bedford Park Community Building in the Garden Room. Please bring items for our Period Products Donation Drive benefitting the Argo Community High School Clothes Closet. We hope to see you there!

Each year, the Glen Ellyn Junior Woman's Club prepares and delivers a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner, with all the trimmings, to the Glen Ellyn Volunteer Firefighters for their annual November meeting. This longtime Juniors tradition is our way of "pre-thanking" the firefighters who help us deliver Christmas Baskets to local families and seniors each December.

Cooks Needed!
We need volunteers to help prepare a holiday feast for approximately 30 volunteer firefighters! If you'd like to prepare a double batch of your dish, please select (2) when signing up. We truly appreciate the extra help!

Cooking & Logistics:

• Provided by Juniors: Turkeys and disposable roasting pans

• Donated by volunteers: All other dishes

• Drop-off: Please prepare your dish in a disposable container, label the contents, and drop it off at Maggie Wilhite's home by 6:00 PM. We'll take care of getting everything to the firehouse.

Thank you for helping us continue this special tradition and showing our appreciation for the firefighters who give so much to our community!

Spend a Saturday discovering unique products from talented local makers, artisans, and small businesses while supporting a great cause. For more than 25 years, the Downers Grove Junior Woman's Club hosted the Handmade Market, a beloved holiday tradition showcasing local artisans. As the event has grown to include a wider variety of vendors, it has evolved into the Makers & Merchants Market—celebrating both handcrafted goods and thoughtfully curated products from local businesses throughout the Chicagoland area. Proceeds from the event support the Club's operating expenses, helping us continue serving the Downers Grove community through volunteerism and philanthropy.

Ready for a great night out? Tap into your artistic side and join the Carol Stream Woman’s Club at Pinot’s Palette in St. Charles on Saturday, November 14, from 7–9 p.m. We’ll be painting "Moonlight Majesty" and enjoying a relaxing evening of creativity and fun!

Cost: $45 per person
Location: Pinot’s Palette, St. Charles
Drinks & snacks: Feel free to bring your own non-alcoholic beverages. Snacks and alcoholic drinks will also be available for purchase.
Dinner: We’ll likely grab dinner nearby before the event, so stay tuned for more details.

🍬Cocktails & Candy Canes Pub Crawl Fundraiser will take you to downtown Lombard bars for fun drinks for purchase , light food, split the pot, commemorative gift, pics with Santa and a whole lotta fun.

We have created four suggested pub crawl routes with coordinating tickets🎟️. When you purchase tickets, you will see Gingerbread, Reindeer, Snowman and Jingle Bells tickets - each of these take you along a different suggested route. While you can purchase tickets for any one of these suggested routes, we recommend each person in your group purchase the same ticket type. This helps us to prevent over crowding at any one particular bar. You will receive a map at The candy cane kickstart check-in with your respective suggested pub crawl route.

Early Bird special now thru October 31st $40.00 | November 1st thru December 11th at noon, or until sold out $45.00 | If not sold out, wristbands will be sold the day of for $50.00. * This is a 21 and over event *

🎟️ Hand Stamp Check-In Challenge

This year, there will be four starting locations:
Jingle Bells, Reindeer, Snowman, and Gingerbread.
Each location will have one lucky winner!

To make sure everyone starts at their assigned bar, each participant will receive a hand stamp that matches their ticket.
✅ Be sure to get your hand stamped within the first 30 minutes at your starting location! Winners will be announced at 11:30 AM at each stop!
🎁 Everyone who purchases a ticket will be entered into a Check-In Raffle, but you must have your hand stamped to be eligible to win!

*The distance from Otto’s to O’Neill’s is a little over one mile. It is easily walkable! *Parking in downtown Lombard may be limited, so we encourage carpooling or using Uber/Lyft. If you decide to drive to the event, please choose a designated driver. *Drinks must be consumed in the bars. No open alcohol may be carried on the streets.
